Steph is a Toronto-based landscape photographer. Her content is inspired by the magnificent landscape of our Canadian countryside and urban centres, as well as her international travels. Steph holds a certificate in Photography from OCAD School of Continuing Studies and a Commerce degree from Queen’s University. Her work has been exhibited at the Artists Project, CONTACT Photography Festival, Rosedale Art Fair, Ontario Society of Artists and the North Toronto Group of Artists shows.
Steph's artist statement, "My compositions are clean, often linear and focus on detailed abstractions of the subject matter. I find serenity in natural elements such as water, ice, forest and sky for their powerful yet simple beauty. Subjects that hold intrigue appeal to my sense of curiosity in their ability to tell a story. When I shoot in urban or populated settings, I look for the calm amidst the chaos, and the character exuded in the structures and common spaces. I predominantly shoot in natural light and produce work in cooler tones."
